5. Dyzo AI Meeting Recorder (Chrome Extension)

The Chrome Web Store submission of the Dyzo AI Meeting Recorder extension requires the privacy policy to explicitly cover what the extension collects.

What the extension does

Dyzo AI Meeting Recorder records meetings you attend on Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Webex, and generates transcriptions, summaries, and task suggestions using Dyzo's AI services.

Data we collect

  • Meeting audio: with your explicit consent per meeting, the extension records your microphone and the audio of the meeting (including other participants). Audio is uploaded in chunks to Dyzo servers (api.dyzo.ai) for transcription and summarization.
  • Meeting metadata: meeting title (from the tab title), start/end time, and your Dyzo user ID and company ID.
  • Account information: your email address, name, and profile picture, collected when you sign in with your Dyzo account or Google account (OAuth scopes: openid, email, profile).
  • Screenshots and screen recordings: only when you explicitly start a capture from the extension UI. Stored locally and/or uploaded to your Dyzo workspace at your direction.

What we do NOT collect

  • No browsing history.
  • No keystrokes outside the extension's own UI.
  • No data from pages other than the supported meeting sites, except when you explicitly take a screenshot or screen recording.
  • No sale of personal data to third parties.

How data is used

Recorded audio is used solely to produce transcriptions, summaries, and task suggestions for your Dyzo workspace. Data is processed by Dyzo's backend and is accessible only to your Dyzo workspace members per your workspace's permissions.

Recording consent

The extension asks for your explicit consent before recording each meeting. You are responsible for complying with the recording-consent laws of your jurisdiction, which may require notifying and/or obtaining consent from all meeting participants before recording.

Data retention and deletion

Recordings, transcripts, and summaries are retained in your Dyzo workspace until you delete them. You can delete any meeting from the extension's Meetings page or the Dyzo web app. To delete your account and all associated data, contact [email protected].

Google user data

The extension's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google account data (email, name, profile picture) is used only for authentication into your Dyzo account.
